Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Credentials: 25+ years in Indonesian luxury hospitality (former GM with Aman Resorts and Four Seasons), Board Member of the local ASITA (Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies) chapter, graduate of the Swiss Hotel Management School.
Bio: Budi is the visionary behind Komodo Luxury Yacht Charter. His career has been dedicated to defining the highest standards of luxury in Indonesia. After years of leading some of the world’s most acclaimed resorts, he founded our parent company, Juara Holding Group, to create a truly world-class marine tourism experience rooted in Indonesian heritage. Budi’s extensive network and understanding of the UHNW traveler’s needs ensure that our company’s vision is executed flawlessly, from vessel design to service delivery.
Dewi Lestari
Head of Fleet Operations & Lead Expedition Leader
Credentials: PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer #123456, Certified Ahli Nautika Tingkat III (ANT-III), 20 years of navigating Komodo National Park waters, certified in Emergency First Response (EFR).
Bio: Dewi is the heart of our on-the-water operations. Born and raised in Flores, she has an unparalleled, intimate knowledge of Komodo’s currents, dive sites, and secret anchorages. She began her career as a dive guide at Manta Point and Crystal Rock and rose to become one of the most respected operational managers in the region. Dewi personally oversees crew training, safety protocols, and itinerary logistics, ensuring every voyage is not only luxurious but also exceptionally safe and perfectly timed to tides and marine life sightings.
Alexandra Chen
Director of Client Relations (UHNW)
Credentials: 15 years in global luxury client management (formerly with NetJets and a leading family office), fluent in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Indonesia, certified by The Luxury Network.
Bio: Alexandra is the primary point of contact for our elite clientele. Her background in private aviation and family office services gives her a unique understanding of the expectations for privacy, discretion, and personalization required by UHNW individuals. She excels at translating complex requests into seamless, bespoke itineraries, coordinating everything from private jet arrivals at Komodo Airport (LBJ) to sourcing rare wines and managing multi-generational family needs onboard.
Dr. I Gede Wirawan
Consulting Marine Biologist & Conservation Advisor
Credentials: Ph.D. in Marine Biology from Universitas Udayana, published researcher on manta ray conservation, active collaborator with the Komodo Survival Program and WWF Indonesia.
Bio: Dr. Wirawan provides the scientific integrity and ecological conscience for our expeditions. He advises our team on best practices for sustainable marine interaction, develops our educational materials for guests, and occasionally joins special conservation-themed charters. His research on the manta ray aggregation sites at Manta Point helps us craft itineraries that offer breathtaking encounters while minimizing our impact. His involvement ensures our operations contribute positively to the preservation of the park, a core tenet of our editorial and operational standards.
Captain Yusuf Ibrahim
Senior Fleet Captain
Credentials: Ahli Nautika Tingkat I (ANT-I) Master Mariner Certificate from the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation, 30+ years of maritime experience, specialized in traditional Phinisi sailing.
Bio: Captain Yusuf is a master of his craft, hailing from a long line of Bugis sailors who perfected the art of phinisi shipbuilding and navigation. He commands our flagship vessel with an authority and calm that only comes from decades at sea. His expertise ensures not only the utmost safety in navigating the challenging currents of the Linta Strait but also an authentic sailing experience when conditions permit.
